Hi Steam Gurus,
Please tell me the Specific Heat in Btu per Lb. per degree F of Wax and its specific gravity.
Also if I can get the steam consumption lbs/hr with this formula:
Gallons x specific heat x specific gravity x delta Temperature degree F x 8.3
Latent heat Steam (at operating pressure) x time taken (hrs).
Or any other suitable formula.
product: Wax
Volume: 3600 kg
Ambient Temp: 30C
Final Temp. 180C
Time required/batch cooking: 2 hrs.
Reactor size: 2000mm x 1500mm
Steam inlet to Reactor: 2"
Condensate outlet: 1.25"
Thanks
Duja
