If we ever discover aliens, is it better that we never know?

05/27/2014 1:29 AM

If the government ever discovered alien life forms, would we be better off not knowing?

Would we have mass hysteria?

Would be have world wide chaos?

Would religious fanatics go on overdrive?

You have it the wrong way around: if we discover alien life form will the government let us know about it!

But then its not even a problem that there is creatures in the seas that we don't know, why would we worry about aliens?

If of course the aliens are sort of intelligent we would end up in the same situation that we were in when people discoverd America, Australia, Africa, Easter Island and basically all the places on Earth where folk met folk.

Its gonna be a mess and the religious or none religious overdrive will happen regardless what.

Is your question hysterical? Or do you intend confusion?

The governments of the world are far too busy with continued efforts to discover every possibly significant action taken by members of just one known species, to actually discover another. There have been a few blips on the proverbial radar in the last few decades, and the public knew about those events are they unfolded.

.

Hysteria is unlikely because a discovery will probably not occur in a "here comes a flying saucer" fashion. Discovery will likely begin as weak evidence. There will be a lot of opposition. As additional evidence follows, people begin to slowy convert and accept the idea. Easing in to something steals the suddenness needed for startling, making it more probable most people will carry on as normal...acting irrationally while furiously conjuring a back story, to convince themselves of and repeat to others, that frames their action as being both rational and consistent with the character they have decided it is their task to portray... or something like that. Participation may vary. Check with your local glazy-eyed mouth-breather's benevolence association for details.

.

Chaos already exists worldwide. It is just a matter of degree. Even in the scenario of global mass hysteria, chaos would not approach totality. Everyone being in the same state, even if it is a state of hysteria, is a strongly ordered state.

.

Aren't fanatics already on overdrive? That is why they are described as fanatics. I suspect most of the fanatics have not been holding back a secret reserve of zeal just for an alieny day. I bet most of them are maxed out, and they don't have an '11' on the dial to which they might turn it up.

.

Disappointed? Well, you have the option to make me wrong about this. Be the hysteria you want in the world! Here, this should help get your started: "NASA has discovered aliens! Here is what they sound like!"

Some people already believe we have aliens consorting here among us....Some wouldn't believe it if an alien came up to them and kissed them on the mouth....There is always a Bell curve of belief in anything real or imagined...

....much like Stephen Hawkins said ( I believe this is correct) about Voyager I .... we should have NEVER put all that information on board. Now, THEY know where to find us.

Hopefully they will be more benevolent like Vulcans and NOT belligerent like Klingons! ha ha!

...no. I have noticed on a different media format, what seems to be a "Hollow head" USING baseless Antifactual claims,

...possibly to remind everyone to appreciate the fact that we remain free to spout absurdities, even if they are mean and not particularly well thought out.

Some You tube videos show alien bodyguards for Obama. Are they really aliens or mutations living in Amazon,Nevada or Antartica?.

Nope, not aliens, at least not in the sense of from another planet.

.

All of us are mutations though, so if you are speaking about something literal, then yes the life forms you saw are mutations.
