Can I pass 16 Amp current in 1.6 mm Kanthal wire in coil form to achieve 700'c max temperature in a furnace.

Yes, as long as all safety protocols are followed. Beware that the melting point may be as low as 1200C, so thermostat must be close enough to prevent meltdown.

If what you meant is "resistance coil in air" you could use this:
