Protective relay coordination is not a task for the untrained. There are many parameters and conditions that need to be taken into account to properly coordinate relays. If not done correctly, the result can be catastrophic failure of electrical equipment and injury (or even death) for operating personnel.
If you want to start to learn about relay coordination, GE has a great (free) download of their "The Art and Science of Protective Relaying" at the following link:
Start studying it, and you will learn a lot. But in the meantime, hire someone who is trained and qualified to do your coordination study - it will be money well-spent to be assured that it is done properly and safely.

The term relay coordination covers various concepts as discrimination, selectivity and backup protection. Relay coordination is not combined only with relay or equipment's operating characteristics. It also includes some other protective device characteristics such as Fuse, MCB's, Circuit Breakers as applicable
