You might want to distinguish between Fy 38 ksi and Fy 50 ksi steel (or their local equivalents).

Apologies for typo: it should have been Fy 36 ksi steel, which is a standard value. Other than that, the issue still matters.

Can be any grade of steel (or aluminum alloy) that you want to use. You just have to design the parts( and procesess such as welding) according to the material you choose. The lower the strength of material you choose, the heavier the unit will be, which in turn will affect the design of the foundation(s) and structure for the runway it is used on. If a new structure entirely then you can make the choice of materials, but make sure the structural foundations and structure itself are designed accordingly. If on an existing runway, you will have to find out what the foundations will take and then see what material you should be using.

If in doubt, go with the most readily available materials and design accordingly,

Crane girders are made of steel.

Body parts are made of meat, bone and offal.

I hope that helps you sort out the mangled mess on the floor.

You seem to be having a heck of a time with this company. But it is likely not their fault. Do you have any theories why the entire structure may be warping? (Just a wild guess on my part...I have had cranes fail that way on me, but because they are made to be "fail in a safe way", they would bend rather than break at critical points.) Is there a "third line" inspection procedure that you have to do?

round steel.. that would be the wheels, and steel rope.. in a nutshell... steel.

I hate these difficult questions!

Steel for the girder, construction of the rest of the crane (KONE?) depends on the crane supplier and model.

Don't try and repair it yourself, talk with the manufacturer or local service agent.

For normal or regular ( other than special purpose) EOT cranes the structure is made from structural steel ( example IS2062). Other parts are made from forgings, casting, hardened bars for shafts etc etc.

For exact item wise details, one has to approach manufacturer.
