Conversion of Energy

07/15/2014 9:58 AM

In countries like india which is densely populated, i think It's better to use mechanical energy for power production, the same process which is employed in a dynamo which is also linked with the day to day activities of a man. i would like to have your suggestions for this idea...

The output will not exceed around 100W per generator on an intermittent basis. The consumption level in India is in the order of 400W per head of population (1979 figures) on a continuous basis, therefore there would need to be four-upwards-times as many people generating electricity as there are citizens to generate it.

On that basis the concept is a non-starter.

Energy is just another form of wealth....So the per capita income is much more relevant than the population density....the most efficient energy production is from hydroelectric, followed by nuclear....next you might go with gas turbine with cogeneration of waste heat or coal fired.....

Try an internet search for "mechanical energy harvesting" there are plenty of ideas and designs that have or are being developed and tried, even sidewalks and stairs that harvest energy from people moving across them.

You should go with cost/benefit, the one that gives you the biggest ruckus for the rupee.

Reduce spending on armed forces, space race etc and look after human needs like water, electricity, roads, toilets, housing, safety & security, human rights etc remove/ban caste system discriminating women, children, disabled, animals etc & use wind, solar, geothermal, ocean energy instead of burning oil/coal.
