That will be adequate if everyone does the same.

ok, I'll bite. How do you do it. "Cut your cookies to an email" is a bit vague for those of us who are doing other things with our spare time. I do however, detest cookies.

I guess I should have said "Cut and paste" into an email message.

A better solution is to use Firefox browser, and install plugin, 'cookiemonster'. This blocks all cookies, but you can enable just the sites you want. You also can install a java script blocker 'noscript' and enable just the ones you want. Some sites will not work with out these enabled, but not all scripts need to be functional.

I generally never see advertisement on any sites, as these are javascript. You need cookies for a shopping cart to work, but then you really don't care about blocking those sites. You need cookies for this site to work if you want to log in and reply to forum threads.

Good idea, but this only blocks them.I would like to make them totally useless and obsolete as well.

The final objective is to make all cookies an option of the recipient.

A more noble objective would be to make viruses, browser hijacks, etc. "an option of the recipient"... IMHO, anyway.

I personally think the collectors of this information are rather ignoble,so they should understand being treated likewise.

My experience has been - If someone wants you to have their cookies, you're gonna get those cookies.

Our only hope is to scramble this info as best we can to make it useless.

Anyway,I am too old to worry about it,my hourglass has a lot less in the top half than the bottom,but it is sad to know that the following generations will never know true privacy.

You may not want to remove all cookies. You will have to look up some passwords that were bypassed enough times that you forgot what they were.

One advantage of cookies is that some of your information is stored on your own computer, rather than someone else's. In other words, it may be that the someone else is not keeping your information, but uses it only when you access them.
