Single System and Double System Heat Exchanger

A double-wall heat exchanger places an intermediate fluid between the refrigerant and the water. This minimizes the chance of refrigerant leakage into the water (or whatever other fluid is to be chilled).

I have a confusion again. I think we are talking about double wall heat exchanger and double pipe heat exchanger.

But I need to know what is double SYSTEM. Please see the only resembling result I got from web.

Double wall and double pipe mean essentially the same.

I couldn't tell from the product link if what they call "double system" is also the same. You may need to query the manufacturer further. Watch out for issues in language translation.

Double system I think here means it can be used for heating or cooling....

Where does this 'problem statement' come from? Perhaps 'double system' refers to an evaporator which serves 2 circuits, i.e. 2 compressors and 2 condensers.

Could it mean in series as used in freeze dryer systems?

I am confused. So you all say one thing in common: It is not a generally used term. So I have to find from where the word came from.

Perhaps the person who wrote the "problem statement" can tell you what they mean. It never bothers me to ask a vendor or customer what they expect. We deal with "Delivery", "Installation" and "startup" and everyone's definition is different for each phase. Only the one using the expression can say what they consider what. -- JHF
