5 Ridiculous Conspiracy Theories That Tried To Prove Aliens Exist

10/13/2014 10:25 AM

Is there life elsewhere in the universe? It's becoming increasingly likely that life must exist somewhere out there, but theories on aliens closer to home have ranged from misguided to idiotic.

Is it "becoming increasingly likely", or is it becoming more believable?

I didn't bother reading the link...it's a conspiracy theory after all!

I think Arthur C Clark had signs of Alzheimer's or at the very least was mentally failing, later in his life.

Re: 5 Ridiculous Conspiracy Theories That Tried To Prove Aliens Exist

Hello Spacevudo,

that depends totally what you believe in. Evolution or Creation. Both are

RELIGIONS!!! ...but with one little distinctive, propagandistic agenda and difference!

Evolution claims boldly - that what they are doing / saying / proofing - it is SCIENCE!

The real Question is not answered yet ones and forever: "How we (humans) and the

surrounding cosmos came into existence"? But, if you believe in Creation, read the

BIBLE. There you will find a pretty good account, what happened here 6000 years

ago. That alone should answer your question and guide you in the right direction.

Therefore... I personally "BELIEVE", that extraterrestrial lifeforms and the

whole UFO / ALIEN agenda is propaganda and all stories are some kind of military /

government experiments impossible to hide from the public. If you believe in

>>>>>> circular reasoning patterns <<<<<<<

i.e. the geological column, then I would say Santa Claus is real and his sled

is pulled by some reindeer's, defying gravity . If you want to really know what is

going on in this world, you have to unlearn at first all propaganda teachings, what

was brought to you by our media, government, school teachers, churches, military,

banks and their plunder "us" system, politicians, NASA, FBI, CIA, ALEX JONES in the

Internet and all this other weirdos etc. etc. ! Unfortunately, we are the 99% and

ruled by 1%, but most powerful individuals. They are telling us all this nonsense what

is rat poison for your thinking aparatus, including some life existing somewhere in the

universe what does not help us at all to gain knowledge and wisdom to live our life's

consciously .

My dear friend, learn how to think, not what to think!

"Both are RELIGIONS!!!"

I think that argument is provably false. However, I will make the task easier for you and only ask you to prove that evolution is a religion.

Even if a theory is proven wrong, and this has not been done in this case, it does not relegate it to a religion, just a false theory.

What is rather amusing is that you demand 100% proof for one theory, yet are completely secure in taking the alternate explanation solely 100% on faith.

Hello Fredski, I don't know what you know and how much you know about what, and I am honestly not interested either.....but, please do your self a favor and read my comment again. You will find, that I am not demanding 100% proof of one theory. I just said and belief that Evolution is a Religion (Religion is based on Faith!) and I do not belief as former atheist in Evolution anymore. That does not constitute that my explanation is 100% solely based on faith. You have to "belief" all this pseudo scientific facts of "Evolution" in order to be fully convinced regarding their claims I do not want to go into, because, this forum is not the platform for exposing these facts, theories and beliefs and in my understanding they are off topic. The same is valid for Creation. Darwin is more and more looking like a "Fool", because it is meanwhile an established fact, that even he did not fully believe in his own writings anymore, plagued by doubt's...at the end of his lifetime. So, please let's not get decadent with word games. It's not worth it! Period. Cheers and regards, Okonopel

Darwin's doubts were not about the theory he was expounding but about whether he should risk himself and his family being ostrosized by publishing into a society that was so dominated by the religious thinking of the time. He feared that the reaction to his theory would prevoke the type of response that met Galeleo Galelae when he suggested that the earth was not the centre of the universe. Your response to his theory 155 years after it's publication suggests that he was correct to fear being ridiculed. With the increase of knowledge our perception of the world about us changes, even religions evolve. Your own creationist theory has evolved. You quoted a 6000 year lifespan for the world but this figure was first muted about 1974 by a Ken Ham who was born in 1951. Prior to 1974 Creationists put no figure on the age of the earth. Given that your own religion is evolving, why do you claim that other things cannot also evolve?

Hi Anonymous Hero,

How can it be, that an "Argument" is provably false?? An argument is used to establish dialog.

And how can it be false, if it just you who "thinks" that it is so??

Did you eventually confuse the two words "Argument" and "Statement"?? A statement is used to establish provable facts.....Ask a Lawyer, he may educate you.

"Both are RELIGIONS!!!"

That was your claim in your own words.

That means you have to substantiate that claim with a proof. That is the definition and rules for "argumentation".

So, I wasn't asking you to disprove anything, but to substantiate your claim with a proof and I only asked that you substantiate that evolution is a religion.

I think that we can both agree that Creationism is a religion (or at least part of), so no argument there.

As for proving an argument false all you need to do is demonstrate that the provided proof of the argument's claim is not true or a fallacy. However, that point is a bit of a red herring as I am only interested in your claim that both are religions.

okonope,

You may read the bible, but I pray that you read the : CR4 FAQ

"14) Are there specific rules for posting?"

Please stay on topic. Posts and comments should be of a technical nature and involve some aspect of engineering, science or technology. If you are going to delve into other topical areas (business, entertainment, sports, etc.), please do your best to relate them back to one of the main focal points of this site. Posts focusing on politics or religion will probably be removed. There are plenty of places on the Web to talk politics or religion. CR4 isn't one of them.

I believe that it's a miracle that a religion, based on book filled with propaganda, superstitions, dogma and unsubstantiated hear say has lasted this long in the modern world as it has.

I see that the original Post #3 has been removed (guessing it was religious in nature).

Too bad, I would have liked to read it.

I have my own ideas/beliefs about 'humanity's purpose/destiny", and it is all based on my personal life-experiences (i.e., what I've seen/witnessed, learned/experienced and been through, etc.).

To sum it up .... mainstream science dictates that everything (i.e., the universe/cosmos including the earth with it's multiple myriad of lifeforms .. and each of US) all came from "nothing" resulting from the "Big-Bang". This is from astronomy/cosmology or physics in general http://science.howstuffworks.com/dictionary/astronomy-terms/before-big-bang.htm -or you can google this for yourself. I understand that this is still only a "theory", but the Math supports it (which ironically is considered as the ONLY "pure" science).

Although this may seem "Crazy/Unbelievable/Ridiculous", it falls perfectly in-line with that other branch of mainstream science .. quantum mechanics, which studies the "Very Small" elements of the universe/cosmos. Basically, it states that everything is made of atoms, which is 99.99999999999% "empty-space" (http://education.jlab.org/qa/how-much-of-an-atom-is-empty-space.html). No rational person can dispute this ...... it is why we (as a species) have hydrogen bombs and striped toothpaste (sorry, couldn't resist the Carl Sagan paraphrase ).

So ..... we are all made of "NOTHING" because we come from "NOTHING".

And yet, here we are having an intelligent textual-conversation.

My point is ... there is a lot more to the "religion" concept than people (especially science) can understand or accept. Just some food for thought.

These theories seem kind of nutso, but on the other hand, we only know about one kind of life on one planet. Life might be a phenomenon that occurs in many different ways and different forms, depending on the environment. Possibly there are forms of life that we would not even recognize as being alive. Just thinking...

Does it really whether or not aliens exist or ever existed. We are in the now. All that has happened in the past has affected the now, but it cannot be changed. It is what we as people of the world do NOW, that will affect the future. Now is temporary. Let's do the best we can.

Yes, it would have a big effect, if found true or false.

The same goes with understanding other people. It helps us understand ourselves, just as understanding the universe helps us understand ourselves and our place in it.

The alternative is to live in a xenophobic bubble and just take selfies of ourselves.

Stephen Hawkins said it all ( 2 decades ago) when he stated sending all of that data into outer space was a BIG mistake.

" Hey JO-E-6PAK, look at the dumb @$$ carbon creatures on these primitive drawings. I wonder how they would taste in a Centauri Sauce?" " I don't know OB241, get the tractor beam warmed up and we'll pick a few up on our way home tonight."

  1. Yes, I believe in aliens.....
  2. ..... and there was second gunman!
  3. ...and the Loup Garou will be out again next full moon!
  4. ....Lochness is long since dead but the Kraken ( Colossus squid) do exist.
  5. .... Aliens did help build the Pyramids
  6. ...... we can quit trying for Warp drive and concentrate more on Worm Holes
  7. .....and I do believe in the Bible.

Just my opinion in the discussion.
