If you are not interested in economic efficiency, yes. S.M.

They sell swimming pools 36 feet in diameter. That's a tank with no roof at all.

Not to much information, height?, material?, type of tank?..........

Assume that is a API 650 Storage tank, then, yes you need to install stiffening ring in the upper according to API 650 Ad3_2011 Parr. 5.9

Above 6 meters in diameter is mandatory.

Rather than asking a bunch of strangers "what they think", the correct way to answer your question is to have a competent engineer perform an engineering analysis.

Software has been developed to design, calculate and qualify tank roof designs according to design codes such as API-650 and API-620.

It is important to note that an unstiffened dome roof may be acceptable for one set of tank design conditions. but not another.

Complex and expensive structures such as flat bottomed tanks require an experienced engineer's talents.

I don't think any domed roof can be considered "unstiffened". The 'dome' geometry is the stiffening!

Dear Mr.basel alsaleh,

The answer for your question is YES. Technically it is possible. Cost who will bear.? It appears certainly not you.
