Assuming this is a classroom assignment for which you are attempting to cheat, or you are at the least in over your head being paid to work in a field you are unqualified for, I'll say this. Look up and study how it is that a capacitor is used for power factor correction in a basic AC circuit. Then once you fully comprehend the electrical theory involved, the answer will come to you easily.

If not, then there was nothing we could do for you anyway and to further enable you to work in the electrical field would be an injustice to those you will eventually injure or kill.

Dear Mr.Anupam Diwan,

It is simple. But you have not indicated the Power Factor,

The Formula is Root3 x V x I x Sin Theta = KVAR

You have given KVAR = 400, Voltage is 415. If you consider Power Factor as 0.8, the the REACTIVE POWER will be 0.6

Hence 1.732 x 415 x I x 0.6 = 400. The only unknown is I which can be calculated and pl.try.

Why don't you ask the OP to send his homework assignment direct to you. It will save the rest of us having to read it.

Why not have the OP send "direct" it to you?

Oh sorry, you are persona non grata here, and are therefore incommunicado.

@415V 556A maximum

With it being an automatic PFC how can anyone calculate the current draw at various steps? We don't know the threshold points!

Sir ,

If i considered same case and use capacitor bank to correct PF from 0.7 to 0.9 in this case will capacitor draw & feed same current which comes from above formula.

capacitor charging and discharging current will same or there are any different.
