As part of the manufacturing team at the East Yorkshire site,
the Process Engineer will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and
configuring production systems to reduce cost and facilitate continuous
improvement activities throughout the business. Developing, optimising and
controlling processes to reduce waste and drive sustainable, measureable
efficiency improvements.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Providing technical expertise to develop world class levels of performance
and customer satisfaction through responsive team working, lean tools and
techniques and continuous improvement.
• Optimising processes through the effective use of SOP's, competence
management establishing best practices within the production process.
• Leading process improvement initiatives to deliver qualitative and
quantitative benefits, improvements and efficiencies.
• Establishing, maintaining and providing data and KPI's to: define, measure,
evaluate and support process improvement.
•Identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiencies, working practices,
environment & health and safety..
• Supporting the Design, Production and Engineering teams to maintain focus on
the external and internal customer with improvement related activities.
• Developing, managing and maintaining information and models to increase
performance.
• Actively benchmarking operations performance with internal benchmarks.
• Working closely with all business functions to facilitate a culture of
continuous and sustained benefits.
Who
we're looking for
The successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record as a Process
Engineer within a manufacturing company.
Essential:
• Minimum Degree level candidate or Equivalent.
• Able to demonstrate good influencing skills and lead change (facilitate
improvement)
• Excellent communicator, able to give and receive feedback.
• Knowledge of quality tools & techniques in a production environment
including, Lean, 6 sigma, 5S.
• Good understanding of industry standards, specifications, safety and
regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge and proven track record of applying problem solving techniques.
Desirable:
• An effective change agent.
• Good communicator.
• Excellent team facilitator
