I have a problem when I push the control pedant for lifting and lowering the hook at this moment the cotactor and the magnet of engine goes switch on and switch off and these two commands doen`t exsit(lowering/lifting).When I remove the contactor from the disk and I tasted the contactor and the engine were working. I don`t know what the problem is?

We don't know what the problem is either.

Could be a bad contactor.

Find the manual.

Read the manual.

Go on-line and fine the Demag website and look at the manual.

You can find the web site the same way you found this one.

Call Demag service and ask them.

Given the number of Demag questions we get here, I wonder if their manuals are useless and/or their customer support just plain sucks. The Cavalier of cranes?

I doubt that.

Demag - Terex Cranes are German, and owned by Terex.

My opinion is that the users, such as the OP, abuse them and never maintain them.

But then, I'm cynical.

I think Demag, a leading brand world wide, has high technology products. The users in remote places are not trained to use and maintain their products, also Demag is finding too difficult to reach these places and provide after sales services.I am not able to understand the OP's problem

I would like you to check three circuits

* power feed contactor present in side chamber

* check the occurance of fault in motor the chances are very low because motor is fault resistant but the circuit isn't

* try starting at lower speed

if not then troubleshoot the programing unit by techician dealer

Also, I would have expected the "pedant" control to get it right!

Im going to take a chance here..are you Polish speaking ? Your name sounds Polish.

Maybe somebody can help you state your problem in English.

Google Polski klub, or Polish club. There are many of them, so there must be many members who can help you.

Have you checked the limit switches? On newer cranes there is normally a block operated upper limit switch. It should be secondary to the upper travel geared L/S. It is to prevent the operator from running the block up into the drum. The hoist should still work in the down motion to safely lower the load, but it may be wired wrong. (The upper safety device is often a manually reset device so you would need to find the reset.) Since you can't raise or lower the block, one of the other geared L/S may have gotten damaged or come loose.

If available, the crane control may be in the "inch" mode for lifting large heavy objects and if so, it is operating correctly.

If the "inch" mode is not available then the crane has other issues.

In order to identify what is happening you must obtain an up to date correct set of crane control schematics and perform competent troubleshooting techniques/methods on the circuitry components.

If you cannot do this, seek technical support from DEMAG field services.

The problem is entirely a failure to use the telephone to talk the problem through with Demag directly.

Don't lick the contactor with power applied.
