Special Property Of Straight Lines

03/04/2015 10:00 AM

Find the equation of the straight line passing through two lines, where the two lines are passing through origin, Let the two lines be a1x+b1y=0 and a2x+b2y=0 Then find the equation passing through them, where the given two lines passes through origin. THANKYOU

First, we do not do homework.

Second, your phrasing is ambiguous about what this third equation is supposed to define.

Third, we do not do homework.

You can't have a line (straight or otherwise) between 2 given lines, only between specified points on the lines.

BTW, what level of education are you at?

Iam not asking anyone to do Home work, actually we also don't do homework. Cant't we draw a line intersecting two lines at two different points P and Q, where the two lines passing through origin. There by forming a triangle, two lines are given, one we need to find. Actually I have discoverd something new, so i want to present this property to world. I have posted this quest to get an idea whether this property exists or not.

This is simple geometry. If line A and line B intersect anywhere they intersect in only one point. If they intersect then lines A and B together also define a plane. If line C also exists in the plane defined by A and B then line C must intersect either line A or line B at least once. Line C need not intersect both A and B.

"two lines are given, one we need to find."

What color would you like the line to be?

Any line in the plane of the 2 lines and which is not parallel to one of them 2 will cut both.

Your problem is - I appologize for the term- stupid and not worth to be discussed.
