30 Stupidest Inventions Ever

Posted September 29, 2009 8:05 AM

From Neatorama:

Life Magazine has a hilarious post up featuring what they consider to be the 30 dumbest inventions of all time. When you look through the list, filled with things like the shower hat to the right, you actually start to get an appreciation for things like the Snuggie.

There are a lot more than 30 dumb inventions. Just look at Popular Science and Popular Mechanics before 1970.

I like those illuminated tires a lot. In the early nineties seemed as if a fair number of very small screen tvs were sold. Filmmakers liked them as I remember because they could transmit from the video tap in the camera to the little TV.

I haven't seen one in awhile.

Certainly these days people are accepting of small screens, and some things are not really all that "dumb", but just ahead of their time.

Them illuminated tires are really cool!

-Now I bet we could get them to change color. Pink glowing tires... every rockstar needs a car with pink glowing tires.

some things are not really all that "dumb", but just ahead of their time.

Clive Sinclair was always releasing products before they were really ready, he always seemed to be in a rush to get the return from his work.

I vote for this one. Atomic Mortar I bet they were a happy crew. (compare the range to the bursting range)
