How it's Made: Water Treatment

If you've always wondered how water was treated, then check out this interesting "How it's Made" segment. Primary treatment - Collecting and screening including pumping from rivers and initial storage. Secondary treatment - removal of fine solids and the majority of contaminants using filters, coagulation, flocculation and membranes.

That's a big one. In comparison, a water maker for an ocean-going yacht would fit inside a broom cupboard with (a little) space to spare.
