The video is too small to show much at once ...

I thought it was boring to watch, but I guess to die-hard LEGO fans it must have had them on the edge of their seats!

He obviously hasn't finished his machine yet. A finished machine would take the little jars with the bubble gum in them, remove the top, empty the gum back in the input hopper then stack the empty jar and lid ready to start over again.
