America's Wind Energy Potential Triples in New Estimate

Posted February 22, 2010 9:29 AM

From Wired Top Stories:

The amount of wind power that theoretically could be generated in the United States tripled in the newest assessment of the nation's wind resources. Current wind technology deployed in nonenvironmentally protected areas could generate 37,000,000 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year, according to the new analysis conducted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and consulting firm AWS Truewind.

Good guess Ed and right on target!

Next they'll discover that the Wind Maps in Texas are all wrong too, all on account of George Bush The Minor....*LOL*

Ummmm, wouldn't the Kennebunkport Maine area be the next discovery of falsified wind data?????? What sail boats? Who needs them when George Bush The Elder has those "awesome" torpedo powers boats to ply the waters off the coast with an armada of Secret Service boats in trail???

If it involves "Big Oil", then there's a big stink about it.........

When Germany's going to be able to supply the world with solar electricity in a short time, why waster money on new wind generation or, in fact, any generation of power?
