Fossils Offer 'Window' into Human Evolution

Posted April 09, 2010 9:00 AM

From USATODAY.com Tech - Top Stories:

The discovery of a fossil pair in South Africa, reported by researchers Thursday, promises insights into early human origins about 1.95 million years ago. In two papers published in the journal Science, a team led by paleontologist Lee Berger of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg reports the discovery of Australopithecus sediba (the name means "southern ape wellspring") from the Malapa site in South Africa, a series of ancient caves exposed to the surface.

Thanks but must refuse on moral gerunds. My mother always wanted me to have an honest joint job.

Syrup run was short and really sweet. Next year I'm hoping to bottle the sap. Coffee made with sap brings a whole new dimension to coffee. Good for the bones I've read...anion/cation thingy with the calcium (osteo?)

The discovery of a fossil pair in South Africa, reported by researchers Thursday... The fossils, discovered in 2008,...

I would think they could manipulate the data to support their claims in considerably less time.

It's sad, but two years is probably about average for the peer review process to arrive at a publication date.

If the end of the world had to be discovered by science, the published conclusions would be two years late.

And then we'd want someone to replicate it...
