baumah has been a Web Content Technologist at GlobalSpec and part of the CR4 community for just over a year.

Tell me about yourself (major, college, work experience)

My name is Josh and I am currently pursuing my MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a focus on commercializing technology. I received my bachelors from RPI as well in Electrical Engineering. Before working here at GlobalSpec, I completed an internship and a CO-OP at Schneider Electric as a Hardware Engineer in the R&D department. Before Schneider, I spent a summer in Singapore working in the CAD dept of Sanmina-SCI.

Favorite part about moderating/blogging?

My favorite thing about blogging on CR4 is getting to see so many peoples perspectives on current issues. CR4 attracts a very diverse group of people and no matter how obvious something may seem to some people, there are others who can bring a different view.

Blogging topics: How do you choose?

I choose what to blog about simply by what I find interesting, which is why my blog topics are often very different. Sometimes I use Google News to help me think of interesting topics.

Favorite part about CR4?

Engineering News.

What are your hobbies?

Poker and Racquetball are my favorite hobbies, but I like anything that is competitive.

Favorite website & why?

Google News is my favorite website; the Sci/Tech, Health, and Business sections are most interesting to me.

Scariest moment of your life?

One of the scariest moments in my life was when I went whitewater rafting this past summer. My boat tossed myself and 2 others from it after hitting a large rapid.
