More and more manufacturers are opting for soundproofing vehicles with recycled materials. The 2012 Ford Focus, for instance, will be utilizing 100% post-consumer recycled cotton as carpet backing and sound-absorption materials. Ideally, such materials are less expensive than virgin materials. If they should cost slightly more, should they still be used?
