Giant Archaeological Trove Found in Google Earth

Indiana Jones, put down your whip. To scour the globe for archaeological sites these days all you need is a desktop computer. Almost two thousand potential archaeological sites in Saudi Arabia have been discovered from an office chair in Perth, Australia, thanks to high-resolution satellite images from Google Earth.

Your welcome!

I enjoy browsing with Google Earth, and even attempted to use it to show where a stockpile of fertilizer was leaking into a local stream, however, the location had been "digitally censored".

I presume this is an option afforded wealthy land owners.

I once found a place on google earth too... and I didn't go there either! amazing coincidence... (although I didn't get a write-up in the news... )
