People of an organization are the most important asset. The greatest asset of any organization is its employees .The management of human resources is a very complicated and challenging task. Training is a continuous process because there is no end to learning and a person has to learn continuously. Conventional training methods such as lecture and discussion, conference training and case methods shall be used for training requirement. Training should be more jobs oriented and also it should be practical in nature, i.e. hands on training, rather than theoretical one. Training by distance learning needs strong self-discipline, as they do not have much interaction with lectures like conventional learning. Combining distance education with regular class room training is a part of continuous professional development ( CPD) requirements.

The problem is just as bad in offices as it is in plants. Nobody here is asked if they know how to use a computer can they us a word processor? A spread sheet program? Hell they aren't even asked if they can use a calculator. Then they are given a desk and expected to work efficiently with a computer all day. When I offer to give a course during lunch hour I'm told it is against the rules to ask staff to give up their lunch.
