With a nod to the zany flying machines of the days of yore, some University of Maryland students will attempt to make history this Wednesday when they test-fly their human-powered helicopter for the first time.

I'll take it, I bet it does get off the ground... as long as it's inside with no wind currents and a 90lb girl has the strength of a 180lb man. Even without the strength, I'm guessing it gets some kind of lift. (crossing fingers)
