If the sheet that disappeared is the carbon nanotube stuff, seems like it shields itself, nothing else. Kind of like squid?

It doesn't shield anything, it becomes a mirror from the angle of viewing ......

A stage curtain would also work.

I'm currently developing this TRUE daylight invisiblity cloak, it consists of one front screen and one back screen compossed by two oposite arrays of 12,000,000 optic fibers inter-connected from one "pixel" at front to the corresponding one in the rear screen.

It will hide whatever is in between, can be war supplies or even gay officers having fun.

Development is still at dream stage, but if I had the money...
