I hope that spreads to North America next summer, so the birds will catch and eat more mosquitoes!

Maybe ticket prices on the metal birds will fall due to fuel savings.

Weimerskirch explained that models predict wind strength will continue to increase, and that the poleward shift will continue. By 2080, the westerly flow now centered around Crozet will be further to the south, taking away the bird's easy ride. At present the birds are also under constant threat from longline tuna fisheries, which have indirectly killed many albatrosses and other animals.

They just have to find a negative light to shine on it.

This entire paragraph is bull$hit. They can't accurately predict what the weather is going to do next month, much less in 2080......................and yet they state it as fact.

But how will the birds get back? Once you take the easy path, there's no going back. Or so I'm told.

They'll have to evolve into low earth orbit birds which can only fly in one rotational direction.

The lower the better, some of those buggers are way to high, completely out of range..

I don't seem to be flying any faster...I think it's a lot of hooey...The sun does seem to be glareier though, what's up with that?
