Undisclosed Finding by Mars Rover Fuels Intrigue

I am going to bet that the discovery is strong evidence for organic molecules or their precursors.

While this would be ho-hum to many people expecting green men (and women) with antennas, it does give credence to the possibility of life (in all forms) being pervasive through the universe and not unique to Earth.

It would be good evidence to say that we are probably not alone in this universe.

Arooooooooogah! Undefined "we" alarm!

• If "we" means "life", then "we" are alone, just potentially on more than one rock until some hard evidence is presented.
• If "we" means "homo sapiens", then "we" are alone on one rock at the moment, and were on two rocks during the Apollo lunar landing missions.

What a troublesome little word.

"We" is taken as humans.

The premiss is that if life, in any form, exists elsewhere (i.e., not on Earth), than there is the possibility of higher forms of life could exist, too. Higher forms can include intelligence.

The age old question of "Are we are alone in the universe?" is typically understood as whether we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe.

Well, we seem to be one of the most egotistical forms of life in the universe.
