Bubba was firmly grounded in his belief that the circuit was not energized....but totally unaware that the homeowner was wanting to watch the tv....

If it was a leakage it was not only water but would make the ground better!

He was sure he read on CR4p that wetting the Earth makes it more conductive therefore he had not to switch off the mains when working on the outdoor wall socket.

Polish digital voltmeter: touch fingers to wire; how far you bounce is proportional to the voltage.

That is highly offensive to Polish people, and I happen to be half-polish on my mother's side.

So of course I gave you a GA on this one. The best jokes are going to offend SOMEONE, live is all about learning not to take things personally when there is no personal attack intended.

I LOVE Wagner, which is why I tend to like any music Jim Steinman writes (He wrote the songs for Bat out of Hell and Bat out of Hell 2, his style is best describes as 'Wagner Rock' or Vag-rock for short. (pronounced with the G as in Gate, not as in the anatomy part it seems to be spelling out)). The problem is that that music makes me want to invade my own room, then complain about what I'm doing. (Half Polish, Quarter German, Eighth British, and Eighth Swedish. "You can always tell a Swede, but you can't tell him much.")

I LOVE those.

The problem is, after eating them, you've got to spend 40 days thinking about how much of a pig you were for eating so many.

(Wonder how many people will get the reference.)

The other half is half-German, and the other half of that is half-British, half-Swedish.

I'd say more, but I already used my Swedish joke in this thread, and I don't repeat myself.

("what?")

I said I already used my Swedish joke in this thread, and I don't- Oooooh! You little whippersnapper! (shakes imaginary cane angrily)

When you talk to yourself, which language do you prefer?

Do the others object?

Do they even know what you're saying?

When you send Christmas cards, do you sign them 'Wesołych Świąt od nas wszystkich' or 'God Jul från oss alla' or 'Frohe Weihnachten von uns allen' or 'Merry Christmas from all of us'?

Have you ever been at war with yourself (or would like to, if only for reasons of Global Domination)?

When you argue with yourself, do you require a translator?

When you take a shower, do you refer to it as an 'ethnic cleansing'?

Oh, trust me, you do not want to go probing in the dark corners of my psyche, there are some 'bad neighborhoods' in there that scare even me, even though I know that the only thing I'll find inside my own skull is myself.

Some young electricians were putting a new service panel in an old house. When they energized it things started smoking. they had managed to feed 220 to the 110 volt circuits. They couldn't figure out what went wrong. I told them I had just read in "Wiring Simplified" that old houses would have a fuse on the neutral conductor. They ignored me. they called their boss and he came out. Then he told them exactly the same thing. They had hooked every wire that went to a fuse to a hot lead thus putting 220 volts down the 110 lines.

(and have occasionally had my behavior as that of a ''closet-Italian''...)
