I remember three events in one day when I was about 6 months old.

My memory of late is terrible. At first I thought it was dementia, which is why I find this article so uplifting! It means my brain is getting bigger!

Our brains remember every bit of information received. Info received when a baby, gets put into the stack of knowledge. As we get older, more and more information gets put on top of the stack. The baby stuff is now on the very bottom of the stack. In order to recall it, you have to remove all the stuff above. This is not a very scientific explanation, but I think it's as good an explanation as you will find anywhere.

I doubt that's the whole picture, but this idea seems largely true.

An exception could be significant events that are recalled from time to time, sort of refreshing them to the top of the stack.

Some people think they can recall events from early in life. Memory is a funny thing in that you don't just remember the event but remember each time you have "remembered" it in the past. Each time you remember it, the memory gets modified. Many early memories may well be memories of hearing family members discussing the event.

That's not as impressive as it sounds.

I remember what by cousin did as a baby. When he was a baby, I was already over 20 years old.

Perhaps you meant to say "Chuck Norris is so good he can remember things his parents did as babies." Now THAT is dividing-by-zero impressive.

Yes, you've captured the essence of my thought better than I had.

When ghosts sit around a campfire they tell Chuck Norris stories.

[I love this one]

Chuck Norris - Google SearchView shared post

Google won't search for Chuck Norris because it knows you don't find Chuck Norris, he finds you. Your search - Chuck Norris - did not match any documents

The most effective form of suicide known to man is to type "Chuck Norris" into Google and hit "I'm Feeling Lucky!".
