Big Crane Makes Big Wind Turbine Installation Look Easy

One of the world's largest tower cranes successfully completed the installation of a wind turbine rotor assembly at a new wind farm being constructed in Deining, Bavaria, recently. Sharing the same concrete platform base as the 142.5 m wind tower, the flat-top tower crane topped off at 155.5 m and is reported by Vertikal.net to be able to lift the 70 ton rotor precisely into place, making the job that much easier for the installation team. Crane disassembly and clearing was also said to be easy as well as saving precious time and cash.
