If it worked at all, one would think thst you woould instwll ot where it vould get the largest concentration of CO2, and where 40% of the world's production of CO2 comes from. the bag house of coal-fired power plants, add coking plants, fermentation facilities, stationary engines, where the CO2 would be at 25% concentration rather than 0,25%. Same CO2 capture with only 1% of the air to pump.

And we pay for these insane technology studies. Fuel cell generated electric powered jet engines, Battery power-stored propeller airplanes. I think that there should be some peer review of the scholastic operated governmental funded research, wherein if there is doubt, pocket funding would be needed until some benefit to other than some snake-oiler, and a penalty assessed against both the institution AND the individual when it proves to be useless.

The Industry of research and the use of public funds has become america's greatest shame.

Let's all go on a bigfoot expedition. Better yet, lets go find Yeti.

But let's not interfere with acedemic freedom (of money, that is) by expecting at least some semblence of value out of it. I wouldn't want to think that US would want to have a fair share of the patents/licensing of some good publicly paid for research, but to not have any responsibility for crap is adding insult.

The problem seems to be keeping it where it is put. Unlike nuclear waste, CO₂ has no half-life.

There is definately a desperate wish to keep on generating energy from hydrocarbons. This type of proposal has some value, in showing what it would take to continue this practice.

There isn't enough carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to bother trying to get it out with a newfangled machine. Anybody collecting rainwater from their roof downspout can get as much or more atmospheric carbon dioxide than a machine that processes 99.5 parts of air to get the 0.5 part that is carbon dioxide. The rainwater solution can then be utilized in a hydroponic garden where the plants may extract much of the collected carbon. Keep in mind that plants also transpire unused carbon dioxide in addition to oxygen, nitrogen, and other dissolved gasses. The machine can get better performance if they try collecting power plant emissions or large auditorium human respiratory emissions. The machine people will need to make carbon dioxide by mixing vinegar with baking soda, for example. They will make as much carbon dioxide as people are willing to pay for. We ordinary people are already paying billions of dollars in emission credits, most of which goes to overseas government heads and worldwide emission credit dealers. Carbon dioxide doesn't cause global warming anyway. It's global warming that is causing greater carbon dioxide emissions from ocean warming and increased activity by soil microorganisms.

Incidently there are no details of the chemical processes. I assume no patent has been issued.

China could use this idea even more than the west. Let's just give them the 16 million barrels that we would save (they'll buy it anyway), and within a year they'll polute themselves out of the world.

Oops, I forgot. Things like resources (oil, water, air) are what wars are fought over.

We could remove tons of CO2 each year by simply demanding the city employees ride the buses around to do their job. Give them free bus passes. Not only less CO2 but no insurance, maintance, or replacement cost for the vechiles.

But then they would not have that city car to go shopping in, would they?

So you evacuate CO2 only from atmosphere and dump in some chemical solution and what will these plants breath ?? and where do you put these gases ,in space! , okay planting more trees is not the only solution , reducing CO2 "production" world wide is better solution , CO2 doesn`t come from anywhere else , it is just reaction that conversion from oxygen to CO2 with carbon addition , it may or may not be revolution but evolution to be sure......
