Teaching an Older Smartphone New Tricks

You've seen the general trend. Smartphone developers add more sensors - and more kinds of sensors - with each new generation. But, in what might be considered thinking outside the phone, a startup company proposes packing sensors (and other features, like batteries, memory, and security) into the smartphone case. The idea? Inserting a smart phone into this "smart case" gives the phone additional functionality and capabilities.
