What happens when you give your architect free reign and a tab of acid.

This building was the E+ Green Home by Unsangdong Architects, in collaboration with Kolon Institute of Technology. According to the architects, the building has acquired a Passive House Certificate from Passivhaus Institut in Germany. The home also employs an "intelligent energy saving system."

Another Korean entry that I missed and only about 20 mins from where I used to live. I did have to laugh though with pious comment that maybe Koreans will be fed up with their apartments and choose to live in this style. Koreans live in tiny apartments (seriously absolutely tiny even by London standards) because land is crazily expensive. It might work in some places where land is cheap but even in Gwacheon (about 30 mins by Metro to centre of Seoul) I would be surprised if the land needed for this size of plot could be afforded except by the seriously wealthy scions of the Chaebols.
