The Cheesegrater is another building, featured on Engineering Disasters for bolt failure due to hydrogen embrittlement. Pretty interesting story as I always thought this only occurred in petroleum or chemical processes.

I think it is one of the Tillamook Dairy buildings. Shredded cheese division.

I checked the building location on Google maps/satellite. The view shows the structure sideways over the top of, or actually the side of the building, Jaber Al-Mubarak st. I was interested in seeing how the orientation was selected in contrast to prevailing winds. Can a member help in finding the correct image.

According to NOAA / accuweather Kuwait weather and wind patterns show the "cheese grater" side is the windward side and the smooth half round to be negative pressure / Leeward side.

looks like a whistler to me!
