If my memory serves me correctly, it just a question of remembering where K is on the keyboard? to get the correct caption up, when I press them.

So who has a passion for old 18th century children's poetry,
possible the person with a rather tired 'K' and '?' on their lappy!
Look at the evidence right before you.

Who killed Cock Robin?
I, said the Sparrow,
with my bow and arrow,
I killed Cock Robin.

Who saw him die?
I, said the Fly,
with my little eye,
I saw him die.

Who caught his blood?
I, said the Fish,
with my little dish,
I caught his blood.

Who'll make the shroud?
I, said the Beetle,
with my thread and needle,
I'll make the shroud.

Who'll dig his grave?
I, said the Owl,
with my little trowel,
I'll dig his grave.

Who'll be the parson?
I, said the Rook,
with my little book,
I'll be the parson.

Who'll be the clerk?
I, said the Lark,
if it's not in the dark,
I'll be the clerk.

Who'll carry the link?
I, said the Linnet,
I'll fetch it in a minute,
I'll carry the link.

Who'll be chief mourner?
I, said the Dove,
I mourn for my love,
I'll be chief mourner.

Who'll carry the coffin?
I, said the Kite,
if it's not through the night,
I'll carry the coffin.

Who'll bear the pall?
We, said the Wren,
both the cock and the hen,
We'll bear the pall.

Who'll sing a psalm?
I, said the Thrush,
as she sat on a bush,
I'll sing a psalm.

Who'll toll the bell?
I, said the Bull,
because I can pull,
I'll toll the bell.

All the birds of the air
fell a-sighing and a-sobbing,
when they heard the bell toll
for poor Cock Robin.

Re: Caption This for 04/26/2019... Que? ~ K?

04/27/2019 9:56 AM

¿Que?

Is the question you get from Spanish speakers in response to the directive:

Hit "any" key.

They cannot find the "any" key nor the ¿ key and "Kay" is a homonym for Que.

So a terse sound alike for ¿Que? is K?.

Basically, they are mystified by your directive and my verbose translation of their terse reply is "Which key ?"

Apologies if I got any of this wrong. I took Spanish in high school over 5 decades ago.

For You PC Police

Note that I am NOT trying to belittle Spanish speakers in any way. English speakers often misunderstand that same directive in their own language. The humor is in the way Que is pronounced the same way as Kay and is a totally understandable misinterpretation of the directive. I took Spanish because I liked it.

Yes. I am using "what" idiomatically for "Which key did you mean?"

Veo lo que pasa. (I see what is happening.)

or

Perhaps best as the the equivalent of "Huh?"

Others might often use ¿Como? but that is not universal and does not work for the photo.

Regardless of HR's salary claim, I refused the job. The secretary's keyboard told me this company could not match my salary.
