The roof shape gives this away! Sending my reply to MaggeMc in a PM so others get the shot.

(And no, admins cannot cheat at this game.)

That's essentially my thought: A tennis court where a net covering has been added to the original chain-link fence.

Literally, "Scalloped roofline." The images come back as lots of photos of scalloped potatoes and the new Hamburg concert hall.

If it's what I think, it's not a projection, it's an alcove.

Ah yes I see it now....

Wait, say what now...

..."Construction work officially ended on 31 October 2016 at a cost of €789 million."..

Holy crap somebody made a killing....ok everybody made a killing...

For comparison the Sydney Opera House cost was $102 million..

But that's only €78.9 million per scallop.

Clearly that place must have some other source of income besides tickets! If half the ticket price goes to paying for the building, it would take ≈16 million €100 tickets, or 1.6 million €1000 tickets to pay for it. No wonder concert ticket prices are so high!

Ha!, now watch a piece of plaster fall off the ceiling and knock some old lady out, and the whole place will have to be shut down...all the contractors must have retired rich off of that one...

But, Sydney opera house was completed in 1959: I can't make any comparison that far back, but, when I went to university in 1973 beer on campus was 10p (about $0.15) per pint (UK pint 20 fluid ounces); now its about forty times as expensive.

Sydney Opera House was started in 1959 only opened in 1973!

But the other point holds a couple of inflation checkers I looked at

1959 -> 2019 100 GBP -> 1900 GBP

1973 -> 2019 100 GBP -> 1050 GBP

So the Aussies got a bargain! Especially if the prices was $Aus and not $US

Brain fart as posted

Should have said the Germans got a bargain. At equivalent prices Sydney Opera House twice as expensive maybe more.

However it was ground breaking design and probably mostly done using slide rules!
