The world's shortest international bridge

Posted September 09, 2007 5:41 PM

From Newlaunches.com:

Simply put the island on the left is Canada and the small one on the right is United States. The small island contains the backyard of the house on the larger island. The bridge connecting the backyard to the house is thus the smallest international bridge in the world.

I'd expect an invasion soon, especially if there is oil....

Is this one of the thousand islands? I seem to remember from when I was 6 years old, a boat trip round the islands!

If our polar ice caps melt, it'll be the world's shortest underwater international bridge. Beautiful house though.

Ah, yes.

Would that be the Menai Suspension Bridge or the Britannia Tubular Bridge, both joining Wales to Anglesey, or would it be the Skye road bridge joining Scotland to the Isle of Skye?

Hi PWSlack. The bridge over the Atlantic, It is the bridge from the mailand just south of Oban to the Isle of Seil. It is a very small humpback bridge built in about 1780 or there abouts. The Skye ridge is over the entrance to Loch Alsh which is a sea loch, while the two bridges to Angelsey are over the Menai straights which is classed as an arm of the Irish sea. Spencer.

I hope I live to see the proposed underwater railway from london to new york. I seen that on the discovery channel website, under engineering marvels or something like that. The same page on the site shows the hong kong international airport's engineering.
