Very good advice,

On the other side of the interview, having operated a business, due to one bad experience I had an employee that claimed to have writtten an spreadsheet program for doing cost anylses for quoting and examples of OEM equipment he design claiming that it was a work of art.

I knew of that piece, what I should have done was follow through since he brought it up was to have called the customer, of which was one of my customers.

Found out after hiring him that alot of his equipment that he designed was not performing, (it was junk) and as far as the program he claimed to have written. Later uncovered that he plagaized it from the true author. (He claimed it becaused it worked, he had very little work he called his own that performed)

He just kept moving on before things when critical, and took with him the items that were handy or worked. And than calling it his own creation. Just a matter of time, when he runs out of places.

If an prospect employee gives and open example, follow through with inquires.
