TouchTable TT45 Redefines the Way People View and Distribute Information

Posted August 27, 2008 8:00 AM

From Born Rich:

In this day and age, desktops, laptops, projection screens and projectors seem too passé at office meetings. The new generation of executives is enthralled by the touch-sensitive options for accessing, sharing and managing data. And here’s the TouchTable TT45 that niftily functions as a mobile presentation and input device. Featuring a 46-inch touch-sensitive table surface with 1920 x 1080 resolution, it renders easy access to the displayed information and menu system, allowing control of the discussion to flow naturally. A must-have for group discussions, this kind of shared experience increases each participants' understanding, resulting in faster, more confident decision making. Additionally, it can be networked to allow synchronized remote collaboration. This means that different groups can connect to the network and share data over long distances. Each device on the network displays the same information and is updated concurrently. The 170 x 170 viewing angle and height adjustment feature coupled with system mobility allows the TT45 to be configured and wheeled in effortlessly to the appropriate location.

An electronic chalk talk tablet. I'd have to try one out to have a valid opinion, but I'm guessing it's too pricey for me to put my grubby digits onto it's digital surface. However, the very terms "enthralled" and "executives" in the same sentence tells me it's likely NOT money well-spent.

Of course if situation will appearing as "there is no another option" I will be forced studying humbly a new cutting edge technology. It is not for the first time at all. Who knows maybe I'll be prepared enough further even to enjoy one.

But from my experience, I wouldn't say that I'm a fan of any touching device [touch screens, touch pads, touch table?]. They're not suitable for me as end-user, although for industrial plant's needs touch screens could be considered as optimal decision.

I am preferring a keyboard with hot keys in my PC-work and I'm trying to minimize using of PC-mouse. But first what i do when I'm on my laptop is connecting mouse device to USB port for not touching ever touch pad.

On my opinion lack of tactile feedback is main reason why I do not adore any touch devices for long term PC-working. It would make my brains every time too overloaded.

I have nothing against if some one talk me that I have odd obsolete PC habits.
