Everyone experiences frustration at times in the workplace, but we always imagined hospital operating theaters to be havens of calm, professional deportment. Not always so, according to recent reports. A surgeon at one hospital threw a pair of scissors that were too dull to cut suture material; a nurse had to sidestep the flying tool. Incidents happen because the O.R. environment is so high stress, explained a hospital spokesperson. Another doc lost his cool and launched two 10 lb sandbags, used to position a patient's arm.
