Europe All Set for Lunar Mission Chandrayaan-1

Posted September 25, 2008 10:33 AM

From ESA Top News:

Europe is participating in a big way in the Indian Space Agencys Chandrayaan-1 mission to the Moon, by contributing three instruments. All these instruments have now been delivered, tested and integrated with the spacecraft. The Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft is now at the Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO's facilities in Bangalore, India. Delivery for each instrument is completed once the hardware physically arrives, has been integrated with the spacecraft, and the software interfaces are checked. SIR-2, a near-infrared spectrometer was delivered in the first week of November last year. SARA, Sub-kilo electron volt Atom Reflecting Analyser, was delivered on 8 April 2008. Europe's contribution is now complete as the Chandrayaan-1 X-ray Spectrometer (C1XS), the third instrument, was tested and integrated with the spacecraft on 22 August.

As you say: Space Heat.

I thought China would be assisting India, as they are near neighbours.

Kind Regards....

Our astronauts have come back from space now safely.

India space tech has europe, usa etc. assistance and participating in. but our china hasnt got. we have to be self dependence.

tech is forwarding, developing space seems an easy task now.

even korea can blastoff and boast about their rocket.

When we were children in our middle school, we also had made a toy rockey with some alcohol mixing feul ( forget another chemical liquid ). very good play and interesting, but was scolded heavily by teachers and parents. hehe.

enough, you know thousands of thousands of chinese scholars stand along with me.

As matter of fact, someone always think Im not one, but a group of talents behind.

most of chinese businessmen wander around and hurrily with a business advertisement here.

some of our engineers find nothing in the forum, so they will come never again, I m only a less knowledgable, so I can stay here for some funny things. and occasionally, reveal someone's false answers.
