Facebook Users Get Worse Grades in College

Maybe in general the people on facebook are already more social than those who aren't.

I guess on the other hand, If i didn't spend so much time on CR4 i could get more work done.

Yeah, me too.

Are we surprised by this "news"? Hit the rewind button to my ancient college years and the story could have read, "Atari Users Get Worse Grades in College".

Or heavy drinking frat brothers . . . .

Or . . . .

I think social networking hinders focus on study, though it may be true about other things affecting studies. Yet, those things usually require attention on the target subject. For me, it was audio amplifier and speaker design, as when I attended college, high power stereo was just becoming big. Unlike social networking and twittering, such hobbies develop knowledge in a skill or discipline like electronics.

And there is no causality involved here.

Have we considered the ones on Facebook weren't going to study anyway - and in another generation might have been playing Atari?
