Leak Grounds Shuttle Until July

Posted June 17, 2009 8:00 AM

From NYT > Science:

The space shuttle Endeavour will remain on the ground until next month after a recurrence of a hydrogen leak scuttled a launch attempt Wednesday morning. The leak occurred at a connection between the external fuel tank and a vent line that relieves pressure of hydrogen gas in the tank. High levels of hydrogen near the tank pose a danger of fire or explosion.

Sounds like a good decision to delay from what I had read and heard.

The Shuttles are getting to be right old ships.

Only thing I might have of any real value to say, since they have apparently made a wise decision, is that I hope they don't get too focused on the one problem, and some other factor be ignored.
