Cancer Drug Delays Aging in Mice

Posted July 09, 2009 9:31 AM

From Wired Top Stories:

A drug approved for treating cancer also can extend the life of elderly mice. Though the drug is not likely to be tested in humans because of its immunosuppressant effects, it suggests that it is possible to slow aging, even if treatment is started later in life.

Although it's necessary to experiment on mice and other rodent like creatures, there are too many premature claims being made that raise the hopes of cancer patients unrealistically. Put yourself in the position of a cancer patient. Do you really want to hear that mice are being cured and you are not? I'm sure most cancer patients faced with living or dieing, would opt for an experimental treatment. I think Del the Cat would echo this sentiment.

It is especially upsetting since the cure for cancer has been known for many years. Did you know that the tribe (pop 20,000) known as the Hunza lived totally cancer free for 900 years?

Did you also know that the 'cancer industry' employs more people than die from it, and that 1 in 4 will get some form of cancer in their lifetime? It is a multibillion dollar industry. Why? Not because cures are not known, but that they are easy and natural source, and therefore not profitable. Think about it.

I'm afraid that doesn't hold water...oh, yes, think of bottled water. Easy natural and very proffitable.

Interesting read and so many types of cancer that Laetrile is not without trials.....that failed miserably. Not really usefull. What works for some doesn't for others. I have had 4 different types of cancer and beat it by 4 different approaches. Eat seaweed - better for you than B-17 anyway. Prayer works more often than any drug protocol. Use the mind to heal yourself. Homeopathic advances are interesting too. I heard licking the butt of a frog would make you high in college, do you know how many students at the U of Fla were out hunting for frogs? Same sort of info.......

I grant you that Laetrile is controversial. The industry has done an absolutely fabulous job of sowing confusion and false data.. but then, they've had control of billions of dollars, and the FDA to spew the party line.

I didn't put this here to argue. I put it here because I KNOW that it works. My brother was given less 3 months to live with rapidly metastasizing colon cancer. I flew to vancouver, and taught and cooked with the b17 products for him. he had been seeing the doctor every week. 2 months later, the doctor told him he didn't even have to come back for 3 months.. it was gone into reversal... but then.. he started leaking internally.. the cancer was so spread throughout him, that when it went away, he was full of holes.. and because his immune system was poor, he simply couldn't heal the holes... he died eventually, but it was a full 15 months later than the initial prognosis. and basically, he did NOT have anycancer when he died.

it works. I've been chewing the apricot seeds for 8 years now.. no negative effects, just freedom from cancer and fear... but most people don't want to know.

I'm interested to hear of your story, and would like to know more about the 'seaweed'.. do you have more information?

Chris
