Boil and Bite

06/24/2015 2:40 PM

Hello, I'm looking for boil and bite mouthguard material. Not vacuum formed sheets. Not trays and straps, just the raw material that i can form. Does anyone know where I can get some? Thanks, Anthony

If the application is not for a mouth guard then do a google search for polymorph plastic.

Should be about $23 per kilogram

Like the old type of mouth guards one uses to play American football.

As SE and Savvy, I think said, these are readily available.

We buythreee or four for our boys every football season.

They are engineered with the right materials for " inside the mouth" use.

You might try sporting goods stores.

Its the material i need, not the mouthguards themselves. I think its called unfilled polymer. I need to be able to shape it to fit very small mouths. Think children as young as 3 with special needs. Not football players. thx.

There are many unfilled polymers, some of which are poision.

I decline to give any further offers except, consult a chemist/pediatrician who is willing to accept responsibility for his recommendation.

It takes research... at times, research does not bring you straight to the answer.... but research can develop a path to begin to answer the questions you ask.

Here, let me assist.

Maybe I have used up my 20 questions, but are you an animal odontologist installing teeth in chickens? Wish you well, but that will not help the avians fight off the avian flu.

Hey Mr. Dooda:

If you read the posts, as in #1 and #2, you will see that your answer was given early on. Good luck with the hen's teeth.
