Coolest Video Ever "Electron Microscope Slow-Motion Video of Vinyl LP"

Its a small world...

Years ago, on liberty in Hamburg, I purchased a small tone arm like device with a suction cup pivot, that applied a fluid (possibly alcohol) to the record ahead of the real tone arm. There was a definite improvement in fidelity, at least to my ears. I would sure like to have seen the effect at that magnification.

What's really cool is how he nonchalantly describes what he's doing:

My workshop is currently electron microscope deficient and may stay that way for some time but I loved this presentation.

The presenter, whom I've listened to/observed before, does a great job on all his videos.

That RCA analogue video disc was an eyeopener.

Some one mentioned the alchohol (possible) wetting of the LP and the audible improvement. I have a wind up gramophone that sounds way better when l lube the bakelite 78s with a wipe down of WD40®
