It is not clear - at least to me - what you want; make a sketch so that we can better understand. Any way you will need preloaded bearings. Give as well the part weight it helps to see better what is your need.

"Every couple has its moment" - Anon.

It is not possible to carry out design based upon the information listed. Is there some sort of fear about listing everything the forum needs to answer the question, for some reason?

  • For example, it is impossible to determine whether the assembly is made of ultra-high-molecular-weight plastic, or mature cheddar cheese.

He is trying to create a CNC machine from the ground up - 1 post at a time.

No, he's wants to design this. That's different than creating it. A whole other thing is verifying that it works as designed.

Actually, to be correct, he wants US to design it. He is just the great idea guy.

Trying to design a custom CNC machine from scratch with technical design support from an online forum isn't going to work, and not just for the reason that we don't think what you are trying to do is either practical or economical (machine large bullet shaped sintered silicon nitride blocks no less).

Perhaps if you answered our previous questions regarding what you are trying to accomplish and why we could offer suggestions, but we are not going to help you try and build something as complex and potentially dangerous as a CNC machine when you don't appear to know how yourself. It isn't practical or safe.

Make it really short and/or heavy-walled.

You are incapable of designing this.

Give up.

Quit.

Cease.

What you want the forum to do is read your mind and then render that into an intelligent design.

Unfortunately, the source (your mind) is lacking adequate information.

Good luck!
