Most of my comments say nothing. (Worthwhile)

Most of my comments are as worthy and the next member's comments. Or is that worthless?

Interesting graphic. Do the locations of the bubbles have any significance?

The closer to the center, the older the join date of the CR4 User. Other than that, no.

There are medications now that make fixations like this far less of an issue which when used with proper counseling can allow for most people live a near normal life.

Judging by your avatar, you need more meds, and a LOT more therapy!!

Then you'd be more "normal".

Look at your profile. The join year corresponds to the color (legend is on the top left of the graphic); and the size of the bubble corresponds to the number of posts.

If this could be updated in real time, with each circle brightening when a post is made, you could get a slo-mo simulation of convection cells. Next student project, step right up!

http://listen.hatnote.com/
This link will let you listen, musically, to Wikipedia being updated. From the site:

"Bells indicate additions and string plucks indicate subtractions. Pitch changes according to the size of the edit; the larger the edit, the deeper the note. Green circles show edits from unregistered contributors, and purple circles mark edits performed by automated bots. You may see announcements for new users as they join the site, punctuated by a string swell."

I find it wonderfully relaxing to listen to.

Decent screen saver, too. Some pseudonyms that turned up included Merle Haggard and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

The word "pompous" has already been taken, but we could still discuss the pink panther that propounded this post. Just not for long, though, because some other words have been taken.

Well, given who we are, it probably IS a bowl of "fruit loops".

But I don't think that was the OP's frame of reference, regardless.

Notice: Only two P's. (Well, 3, if you count this one.) We seem to be imroving.

Personally I am impressed by what you've done, albeit a couple posts seem to sneer at your efforts.

I am not sure what conclusions one draws from the results of your particular exercise - on the face of it Lyn tops the list by sheer numbers - and well done! - but any regular user of CR4 will know that a lot on 'one-liners' are included, in fact quite often 'one-word' posts.

That is not meant as a criticism of Lyn, more of the weight you attach to the value of the table say compared to a 'word-count' of the content if that was available - not that would be of credit if pages of text are 'copied' in.

The important thing for me is that you have drawn my attention to a useful web-site I didn't know existed - so I have bookmarked it as it looks as though it might come in handy one day. Thanks.

How about a graph showing ratio of posts to good answers? Also notice a lot of names that used to post quite a bit but are no longer seen - curious if they just dropped out of the CR4 melee or are no longer with us (or converted to quantum mechanics and can't be detected).

Interesting chart. I didn't find myself which is no problem, but wondered why there are circles with no name that are bigger that some with names.

"why there are circles with no name that are bigger that some with names."

Probably because the circle is smaller than the space needed for that name.

The whole thread reminds me of the answer I got when I asked the custodian of one of NYC's premier STEM high schools if he had peoblems with the students vandalizing the bathroom fixtures: "No, about the only problem is the water on the floor; the students are very careful to disassemble the fixtures neatly and not damage them."

This was in the mid-1980's.
