How to simulate a crude oil pipe line burst with ArcGIS 9.1?

Not yet - Waiting for delivery of big server. Haven't thought of using it for the purpose yet. (If possible may use it for flood line calculation after dam breaks).

Out of curiosity. (We don't really have big crude oil pipelines).

Burst on land or sea?

What are you going to use for contour data?

What is the expected flow rate / volume of a spill?

Is the water courses dry or with water?

In which country and what is the legal requirements?

Hope to use it for rescue mission, i.e being able to protect most delicate places first, while contour data will be gotten from satellite imagery and locational maps i.e.The terrian: land or water,terrian attributes:water logged/dry land,while volume of spill, flow rate etc will be variables to be inputed. But i'll like to know if the arc 9.1 or 9.2 has the capacity to simulate such accident in realtime, and it can be simlessly linked with other simulating softwares like 3D max, and pipe flow etc. thanks for yoour respose Hendrik, its was really appreciated. but i will love to have more info on how to go about this please. thanks to any and everyone.
