Looking for Roll Packaging End Boards - Shrink Wrapped

I need to find maker/source for end boards (a 18"x 18" square of say 5/8" stock with a 6" hole cut in the middle). These are used to bracket and suspend rolls during shipment.

The readily found suppliers don't have the one I need - made out of MDF not particle board and shrink wrapped.

The shrink wrapping is kind of tricky since you need an open hole in the middle of the board - I don't think many companies can do this.

That'll take some research.

Loudspeaker manufacturers use tons of MDF for speaker enclosures. 18 x 18 x 5/8 with a six inch diameter hole in the middle would be easy for them, or their suppliers to do.

I don't know what quanity you're looking for, but did you consider having them made.

I'm wondering why you need the boards to be specifically mdf and why shrinkwraped? Water resistant?

Why not a cheap plywood?

With a cheap co2 laser around~140 watts and above you could be making your own in any configuration.

Well I have a source for shrink wrapping particle board end boards. I also have a source that will cut MDF into end boards. So far I have not pressed the issue to have the 2 sources line up to make shrink wrapped MDF.

Badger Plug makes the shrink wrapped end boards

I think you can find some-one to make MDF boards, the guy I have is local.

MDF is actually the volume material used in large roll packaging, my issue has always been that I am looking for small end boards for small rolls and the volume is not large.

I was thinking MDF might be cleaner than particle board - that was my driver. Particles particles everywhere
